Infinitum Digital integrates all cultural offerings into an omnichannel platform.

Infinitum Digital defines and develops the digital strategy proposed within the Strategic Plan of the Museums of Andorra 2017-2023, through an innovative and sustainable digital platform that integrates all cultural assets and positions them internationally, with the aim of retaining current audiences, attracting new visitors, and increasing cultural tourism in the country. This DXP platform serves as a single entry repository for all information generated by national cultural centers, providing unified content for all channels.

The customer

The Ministry of Culture of Andorra is a government entity responsible for the promotion, protection, and development of culture in the Principality of Andorra. Its work encompasses the preservation of cultural heritage, the promotion of arts and creativity, the management of museums and monuments, and the promotion of cultural activities in general. In addition, the ministry promotes policies related to cultural education, the dissemination of historical and artistic heritage, and the integration of culture into the daily lives of Andorran citizens. The ministry also works on the digitization and modernization of the country's cultural resources, as part of its mission to bring culture closer to society and foster cultural participation.

The objectives

The initial analysis for the diagnosis on the digitization of cultural resources in Andorra revealed that the digital tools dependent on the Ministry of Culture did not have a significant impact on the search for information about Andorran museums and monuments. Therefore, the Ministry commissioned Infinitum Digital to conceptualize and implement a Comprehensive Digital Strategy in the Museums and Monuments Area aimed at developing a digital project that enhances online resources and the visitor experience before, during, and after the visit. The strategy goes beyond the website and proposes a digital transformation in Andorran culture that integrates various channels to increase and maintain the audience.

The project

Omnichannel digital platform: driving digital transformation beyond the website.

To optimize online resources and the overall visitor experience, Infinitum Digital has designed a digital marketing and communications management strategy focused on creating a centralized repository to store all content in formats suitable for use across different channels. This centralization improves the quality of communication by synchronizing and streamlining actions; optimizes efforts by avoiding task duplication; increases the effectiveness of actions by utilizing information accumulated over time; and helps reduce costs by eliminating duplicate repositories.

Omnichannel and cross-functionality

To optimize the user experience, it is key to offer the right information through the correct channel. This requires a centralized repository that distributes content across various channels. Infinitum Digital proposes to create a multichannel platform Ibexa DXP, which facilitates the dissemination of content on different digital channels such as websites, mobile applications, specific apps, and physical displays. Additionally, this platform allows for the inclusion of elements from the material and immaterial heritage of Andorra, providing a cost-effective solution.

All the cultural offer in just one portal

To gather all the cultural offerings of Andorra (museums, monuments, exhibitions, and activities), the platform integrates a website, which is the core of the digital strategy, as it collects the contents of the central repository. It is the only entry point for information for all contents, which avoids duplications. Each center has its own space within the website to present its information, but the cultural offerings are also displayed in a unified and cross-cutting manner, so that visitors can access the specific offerings of a particular center or the entire cultural offerings of Andorra as a whole.

Cross-content through Integration with Visit Andorra

The Museums portal allows contextual access to the offerings of the official Andorra Tourism portal, Visit Andorra, enabling users to explore other resources beyond purely cultural ones: access to hospitality offerings, hotel reservations, and other tourist activities.

Cross-content or cross-content establishes a new level of synergy between different actors in the tourism industry, maximizing the final user experience at the same time.

Mobile app: information, guide, and real-time booking

To allow visitors to access all the cultural offerings of the museums in Andorra in a contextualized way, using geolocation to link their location with that of cultural centers, Infinitum Digital has created a mobile application that offers push alerts and highlighted information such as schedules and locations. The design optimized for smartphones provides a personalized experience according to the time and geographical needs of each user.

Description of the platform, business model, implementation, and promotion.

Within the Strategic Plan of the Museums of Andorra 2017-2023, the need to digitally access the cultural offerings of various heritage resources managed by the Government of Andorra is proposed, including museums, monuments, exhibitions, and routes. Infinitum Digital has designed a comprehensive strategy based on the creation of an innovative and sustainable platform that integrates all cultural assets, improves their international visibility, and promotes the loyalty and attraction of new audiences, as well as the increase of cultural tourism. This platform will act as a single point of entry for information, generating unified content for all online channels.

In the first phase of this strategy, the DXP platform implements the portal and the mobile application:

Mobile app

A hybrid mobile application (Android + iOS) has been developed using the Open Source Ionic Framework, which automatically integrates resources from the Museus.ad website and updates them in real time without editorial intervention. It features a geolocation system to display nearby points of interest and an alert system managed from the platform.
